About GilbertGoonsAZ.com

Hello, I’m Emily Lee, a career news writer and reporter with extensive experience covering hundreds of gang and violence-related cases nation wide. My journey in journalism has taken me through many stories, each unique in its complexity and impact. However, the rise of the “Gilbert Goons” in my own community of Gilbert and Queen Creek Arizona, has struck a particularly personal chord.

A Personal Concern

My involvement in reporting on the Gilbert Goons stems not from professional obligation, but from a deep concern for the safety and wellbeing of my hometown. Gilbert and Queen Creek have always been seen as safe havens, communities where such violent disruptions seemed unlikely. Witnessing these events unfold in an area close to my heart has been both shocking and eye-opening.

While I hold a deep respect for our local authorities and acknowledge the challenges they face daily, my experiences as a reporter have also taught me the importance of scrutinizing how law enforcement handles gang and violence-related cases. In other cities, I have witnessed situations where similar issues were, unfortunately, swept under the rug due to various and sometimes unknown factors. From my experience, these include a lack of accountability within the police force, insufficient training to handle such specialized cases, poor collaboration with other local LEO agencies, and, in some instances, elements of corruption within police departments themselves, including ties to the families that are related to the criminals.

These past experiences compel me to question and closely monitor the response to the Gilbert Goons situation and how the Gilbert PD handles this situation, ensuring that due diligence is followed and that the community’s safety and justice are prioritized. My goal is to see a transparent and effective approach to resolving these issues, learning from past PD mistakes, and improving community-police relations for a safer Gilbert.

A Reporter’s Perspective

With my background in journalism, I can’t help but notice the glaring issues in how the Gilbert Goons situation has been handled. My critique spans all levels – from the families of the teens involved, the actions of the teens themselves, and the response (or lack thereof) from the Gilbert Police Department and surrounding precincts. As a reporter, it’s my duty to ask tough questions and seek out the truth, even when it’s uncomfortable or challenging.

Shedding Light on the Issue

This website is my platform to shed light on the situation surrounding the Gilbert Goons. My goal is to offer a comprehensive, unbiased view of the events, the response from law enforcement, and the impact on our community. This is not about defamation or causing harm; it’s about informing the public and seeking answers.

No Vested Interests

I want to make it clear that my efforts here are not driven by any monetary or personal gain. This project is a labor of concern and commitment to my friends, neighbors, and the broader community of Gilbert, Queen Creek, Mesa, and Chandler, AZ, and surrounding areas. I aim to use my skills and experience in journalism to contribute positively to understanding and resolving this deeply concerning situation.
